One of the main reasons is that it is extremely difficult to go through the insurance claiming process, which requires both time, knowledge, and a lot of patience.

With Insurello, there is no need to understand insurance-specific language, be equipped with plenty of time, or have a specific background. We want to help all people claim their accident insurance compensation instantly online and change the insurance landscape for the better. Our vision is to rebalance the power between customers and the insurance companies, enabling fair compensation for all.

Insurello is growing at a rapid pace, and now we are looking for an experienced and attentive People Business Partner to join our People & Culture team in the Stockholm office. Our team of four currently supports all the current and future employees. We are 92 Insurellians across Sweden, Denmark, and France, and we will grow even bigger during 2021. Who is Masa as a manager?

I am fairly fresh on the role of a manager. That's why you will have the possibility to interact with me in a very shapable moment of my journey when I am trying to experiment a lot. And, therefore, have a significant influence on who I am (and will be) as a manager.

Luckily, I have great experience of being led by some really cool people who made me feel very empowered and inspired and who encouraged me to stay true to myself.  So now I am trying to pass it forward - to leverage my learnings and recreate those feelings and experiences for my own team. How am I succeeding so far? My team says 93/100. Join us and check for yourself if it's a deserved one! 🙂

The role:  

The position is the most exciting for its blend of operational work and influence on strategic decisions. We need you to be interested in creating structures and policies within a slightly chaotic fast-paced environment. You are able to see both business and people's needs and address them with the solutions drawn from labor law, HR-related policies and regulations, a broad overview, and benchmarking of the industry. You see yourself not as an administrator but as a driver of the systems and processes that will help the organization scale with the number of employees in a smooth way.

There are four main areas of the role: 

  1. The first point of contact to our Insurellians regarding various questions about employment (sick leaves, absence, payroll principles, regulations, ad-hoc tasks, managing employee-related documentation and structuring our HR system).
  2. Creating company-level policies and guidelines. That includes but not limited to: employee handbook, relocation guide, compensation and bonus systems, work environment guidelines, special regulations updates, etc.
  3. Supporting hiring managers and the leadership team with HR analytics, cost structure, relevant legislative updates and HR trends.
  4. Together with the People & Culture team drive company-wide initiatives and projects to make Insurello grow & glow 🚀💫. 

Are we looking for you?

We most definitely hope that you are service-minded towards the employees but also have a clear head and your feet on the ground, being able to see pros and cons pragmatically. You are able to provide the solutions that work for us and our fast-paced environment but you are a forward-looking professional anticipating the challenges a few years ahead. We also would like: 

  • Relevant University degree and 5+ years of experience with a similar scope of responsibilities:
    It is great if you had experience in a scale-up but more importantly - you have managed the mixed systems and the employee environment where Insurello is only going to be in a few years.
  • Ability to manage shifting priorities:
    Balance quick fixes and long-term strategies.
  • Strong sense of ownership with collaborative cross-functional attitude.
  • Able to focus on 20% of the tasks that bring 80% of the results.
  • Effective communication skills in both English and Swedish.

We know that a role and a title can be different things, but some examples of your previous positions could be: HR Business PartnerHR Manager or HR Generalist
