Your mission at Insurello: 

As the COO/Head of Operations, you will have an integral role in Insurello's future. Over the last year, we became a company with a presence in three different markets, and we need you to lead both existing and future markets towards success. To be more precise, our operational teams in Sweden, Denmark, and France primarily consist of Claim Specialists, the people core of our business. They are the ones handling customer claims and contributing directly to our financial results and customer satisfaction. 

Your area of responsibility will be to synergize customer service teams' efforts across the markets, identify the best practices and optimize how we work. You will directly manage three country managers (and more to come) and help the teams perform at their best. Your role will be a part of the leadership team and will report to the CEO.  More particularly, you will:  

  • Be the overall responsible for Insurello Customer Service teams across current and future markets. 
  • Identify, set, and follow up on clear metrics measuring the achievements and performance trends of the teams. That includes understanding operational data in and out, taking complex factors into account across the markets and proposing actionable solutions based on data. 
  • Improve and optimize current processes for achieving better productivity at a high level while ensuring a stimulating and thriving work environment. 
  • Identify patterns and unify processes across the markets, making sure that we learn from each other in different countries rather than reinventing the wheel.  
  • Reckon and justify the optimal size of the customer service teams and be responsible for the optimized talent allocation backed by data.  
  • Support and coach Country Managers across the markets in their daily operations and facilitate their further professional development.  
  • Strategically plan the development of our overall operations, such as ways of working, structure, incentives, tools, and communication. 
  • Participate in and contribute to different forums (e.g., Product prioritization, P&L responsibility, Expansion forum), bringing the operational perspective to the overall development strategy. 

What you'll need to embark to succeed on this journey:

  • Master's degree within engineering or business administration.  
  • ~10 years of working experience from an equivalent of a management consultancy or a growing start-up. 
  • Significant analytical skills and ability to make data-driven decisions.  
  • Growth mindset and curiosity for identifying bottlenecks and finding solutions.  
  • Coaching leadership with a passion for developing others.  
  • Solid project management skills with the ability to prioritize and work cross-functionally in a scaling organization across the markets.  
  • Good sense of ownership and accountability for your work and the impact you create.  
  • Business-oriented with extensive problem-solving skills.  
  • Solid communication skills and fluency in English.
